Garment dyeing is the process of colouring a textile article after it has been made into its finished form. Depending on the product and fibre, it can involve garments, hosiery, pantyhose and seamless items, with machine configuration changing according to temperature, pressure, batch size and the stage of production.

How to choose the technology for the article
Before choosing a machine, the main process conditions should be defined. Article and fibre determine the technology; batch size and frequency help distinguish sampling from production; temperature, pressure and liquor management complete the technical picture.
The key questions include:
- what is being processed: finished garment, hosiery, pantyhose or seamless item;
- which fibre composition and process behaviour are required;
- what are the typical batch size and production frequency;
- which temperature and, where necessary, pressure are required;
- how liquor management, washing, centrifugation and drying fit into the complete process.
Atmospheric dyeing machines
Flainox atmospheric machines are designed for finished garments, hosiery and seamless items. ARC is intended for sampling and small productions, with 10 and 30 kg nominal loads, while NRG–DL is the production model with nominal loads from 60 to 240 kg.
NRG–DL works at a maximum operating temperature of 98 °C, with 105 °C available on request. It includes ECO-LEVEL, ECO-RINSE and the Utility Saving Kit, helping monitor consumption and bath quality during washing. This makes the atmospheric range suitable for companies that need a clear distinction between development work and production.
Pantyhose dyeing machines
For hosiery companies processing pantyhose and tights, Flainox offers the static ATC–HT range. Nominal loads run from 4 to 240 kg, with dedicated carriers using drawers for preformed pantyhose or baskets with grids for material processed in bags.
ATC–HT can also be equipped for reduced loads while maintaining a constant liquor ratio. This gives departments more flexibility when batch sizes change and helps keep liquor management consistent with the selected process.
High-temperature dyeing machines
High-temperature equipment covers applications on finished garments, hosiery, seamless items, polyester and blended fabrics. ARC–HT is dedicated to sampling and small productions, while NRG–HT is intended for production; both operate up to 135 °C.
For polyester garments and blends, the G1 LP family provides open-basket laboratory, sampling and production versions for high-temperature and high-pressure processing. The range allows development and industrial production to be organised around the same type of application while using equipment appropriate to each stage.
Industrial dryers to complete the workflow
After dyeing, drying capacity should be matched to the output of the department. Flainox industrial dryers are organised by production scale: TD 50, TD 100 and TD 150 for sampling and small productions; TD 250 and TD 330 for medium production; TD 400, TD 500 and TD 600 for large-scale operations.
Correctly sizing the dryer helps keep the flow balanced between dyeing and downstream operations and reduces the risk of creating a bottleneck after the colour process.
From development to industrial production
